The Witches
“The dark feminine in all of her aspects has always been a prominent theme in my work. Through her, I confront ideas of female power, sexuality, survival, and rebellion. These images also represent my own experiences working with the darker aspects of the goddess. She also seeps into my work with 'The Ophelias' and 'The Dyads' as reflections of the death goddesses and the divine feminine, challenging traditional notions of beauty and femininity and encompassing the shadowy aspects of the human experience such as death, decay, and the unconscious. She appears in many different forms; witch, heretic, gorgon, and goddess, always existing outside traditional gender roles and expectations.”
